The Paris 2024 Olympics are here, and to celebrate, one of our developer partners has used the Data Connector to build an Olympics prediction markets game.

No money is at stake, just connect your wallet to claim some OI coins. The dapp is built on Flare’s canary network Songbird, so you will need a fraction of a cents worth of SGB in your wallet to pay for gas.

There are prediction markets for basketball, football, field hockey, handball, volleyball and water polo. Make your predictions using the OI tokens you can mint each day for free. Once the match is complete, the dapp will use the Data Connector to provide decentralized proof of the final result. Attestation providers will query multiple different sport results providers and arrive at consensus on the result of the match. The prediction market smart contract can then trustlessly verify the winner of the match and allow the distribution of winning tokens.
